The opportunity
The Group Workday Senior Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the roadmap for Workday implementation and optimization at Azelis. This position plays a critical part in driving HRIS innovation, aligning Workday solutions with business objectives, and overseeing complex system integration and process redesign projects globally.
Reporting & Location
This position reports to the Group HR Director and is based in Berchem.
The role
The mission of the Group Workday Senior Manager is to define the Workday roadmap, act as a trusted advisor, and lead transformative HRIS projects while building and coaching a high-performing Workday team. Role is also expected to provide hands-on support and technical advice on following Workday Modules: Reporting, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time tracking, Talent & Performance, Peakon.
Main accountabilities
  • Strategic Planning: Define the roadmap for future success in Workday implementation and optimization in collaboration with the management team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, influencing Workday strategies and enhancing the system’s value to position Workday as a key driver of business success.
  • Project Leadership: Guide the Workday team and HR community through implementations, including:
  • (Re)aligning the HR strategy with Workday.
  • (Re)designing processes, configurations, and integrations with legacy systems.
  • Structuring and managing large-scale, complex projects, addressing ambiguity, and balancing stakeholder priorities. Priority will be on Workday Peakon implementation.
  • HRIS Management:
  • Prioritize, lead, and monitor HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades and new module rollouts.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Coach and mentor team members, fostering a consistent vision and results-driven approach. Ensure constant Knowledge Transfer with the rest of the team.
Technical/Hands-on activities: provide technical support, improvement advice and troubleshooting solutions on the following areas: Reporting, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time tracking, Talent & Performance, Peakon.

Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of Workday experience, including strategic leadership roles.
  • Expertise in Workday implementations, system configurations, and legacy integrations.
  • Overall solid Workday knowledge (ideally HCM, Compensation, Security, reporting & talent management)
  • Knowledge of Peakon and Merit as a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex HRIS projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team coaching abilities.
