Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, establishing a friendly and approachable atmosphere
• Assist customers with product inquiries, providing detailed information and demonstrations when needed
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products and services to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting at all times
• Manage inventory levels through stock checks and reporting low-stock items for replenishment
• Provide bilingual support to accommodate diverse customer needs, ensuring clear communication
• Practice excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is highly valued
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and inventory management
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products and promote store offerings effectively
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, proactive attitude
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating discounts or totals
