Gunsmith – The Alamo Naples

Location: Naples, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time

The Alamo Naples is seeking an experienced and professional Gunsmith to join our team. This position will focus primarily on firearm diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and custom work for our customers.

The ideal candidate will have professional gunsmithing experience, strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of firearm function and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service customer firearms
  • Perform firearm cleaning, maintenance, and safety inspections
  • Install sights, optics, triggers, stocks, handguards, and other accessories
  • Complete firearm upgrades, modifications, and customization work
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and functional issues
  • Test completed work to confirm proper and safe operation
  • Provide customers with accurate repair recommendations and cost estimates
  • Maintain detailed records for all firearms received and serviced
  • Properly document parts, labor, and completed work
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure gunsmithing workspace
  • Follow all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local firearm regulations
  • Communicate professionally with customers, management, and other employees

Required Qualifications

  • Professional gunsmithing experience
  • Strong working knowledge of rifles, pistols, revolvers, and shotguns
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing firearm malfunctions
  • Experience installing aftermarket parts and accessories
  • Ability to safely disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble firearms
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to accurately document repairs and completed services
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to pass all required background checks
  • Legally eligible to possess and work with firearms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal gunsmithing education, certification, or apprenticeship
  • Experience with machining, fitting, refinishing, or custom firearm work
  • Knowledge of ATF compliance and FFL recordkeeping requirements
  • Experience working in a firearms retail or shooting-range environment
  • Familiarity with common modern sporting rifles, concealed-carry handguns, hunting firearms, and competition firearms
