Gym Staff – Customer Service & Facility Support

Pay: $20-25/hour
Hours: 3-5 hours per week

Shifts Available:

• T/Th afternoon/evenings. 1.5-2 hours between the hours of 3 and 8 PM--you can choose.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a reliable, friendly team member to help support daily operations at our gym. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys fitness, takes pride in keeping spaces clean and organized, and enjoys helping people. This is the perfect side gig!

Customer Service

• Greet members and create a welcoming environment
• Answer basic membership questions
• Provide gym tours to prospective members
• Assist members with check-ins and basic gym navigation
• Help resolve minor issues or concerns and escalate when needed

Facility Upkeep

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the gym (wiping equipment, vacuuming, trash removal, bathroom checks)
• Keep workout areas organized and safe
• Return misplaced equipment (weights, bands, mats, etc.) to proper locations
• Restock supplies such as cleaning wipes, paper towels, and bathroom products
• Shoveling snow and laying salt in the winter

Equipment & Sauna Care

• Perform light equipment maintenance (greasing guide rods, checking cables, tightening small bolts if needed)
• Monitor equipment condition and report issues
• Clean and maintain the infrared sauna area
• Clean and organize recovery equipment (Normatec, mats, foam rollers, etc.)

Inventory & Supply Management

• Monitor inventory of drinks, snacks, cleaning products, and gym supplies
• Restock beverages, snacks, and retail items as needed
• Receive deliveries for gym supplies and ensure items are stocked appropriately
• Organize storage areas and keep supplies orderly
• Help track when supplies are running low and communicate restocking needs

General Operations

• Open or close the facility depending on shift
• Ensure music, TVs, and lights are functioning properly
• Monitor overall gym environment and safety
• Assist with problem solving around the gym when issues arise
• Help with occasional small projects or improvements around the facility

Ideal Candidate

• Friendly, reliable, and self-motivated
• Comfortable interacting with members
• Detail-oriented and takes pride in keeping things clean and organized
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Interest in fitness or health is a plus
