Southern Institute of Technology a business division of Te Pukenga has an opportunity for a full-time Hairdressing Tutor.

We are looking for a dynamic, skilled Hairdressing Tutor, fully qualified in the New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing Level 4 or equivalent, to join our team at SIT.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach and mentor our Level 4 students in advanced cutting, styling, colouring, and client consultation techniques to provide integrated fashion services in a salon.
• Share your industry knowledge and techniques.
• Foster creativity and confidence in aspiring hairdressers.

What We’re Looking For:

• Industry qualifications and experience
• Adult education qualification or be committed to completing a tertiary teaching qualification within two years of employment
• A love for teaching, foster creatively and confidence in aspiring hairdressers
• Enthusiasm, patience, and excellent communication skills
