Part-time Handyman/woman.

We are a small, locally owned property management group looking for a part-time general maintenance/handyman to join our team on a part-time basis with the potential to grow. We provide everything from general cleaning to, minor, major renovations, touch-ups, and everything in between for our property owners and tenants.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience with carpentry, home construction, basic plumbing, and electrical
• Experience and extremely comfortable with completing drywall repairs and painting
• Experience with water leak investigation
• The ability to troubleshoot electrical and plumbing issues.
• Experience in building maintenance is a bonus
• Ability to be on-call evenings and weekends to handle emergency calls.
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail, is clean, professional, and understands the importance of keeping a clean work area especially when dealing with tenant spaces.
• Has their own tools and vehicle

The requirements for this job include, but are not limited to:

• Communicate effectively to tenants and the maintenance team (French speaking is a bonus)
• Maintaining and updating tickets within our ticket system
• Ability to work between 5-20 hours per week
• Ability to work independently.
• Complete inspections of units using the supplied inspection software
• Complete drywall repairs and painting
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments, such as baseboard installation, adjusting and replacing door locks, removing damaged materials, and reconstruction, etc.
• Small construction projects such as hanging doors, repairing decks, installing cabinetry, etc.
• Leak investigation and repair, such as sourcing the cause or origin of the water leak, fixing the issues, and then repairing the water damage after the leak is resolved.
• Assist/accompany tradespeople on larger projects if required
• Other repairs and building maintenance as required

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
