Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Handyman/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and general labor tasks across residential and commercial properties. This role requires hands-on skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. The position offers opportunities to develop practical skills and contribute to maintaining the quality and safety of our facilities.

Duties

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned projects.
  • Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical problems.
  • Assist with renovation projects, installations, and upgrades as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all safety protocols are followed during tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
  • Order supplies or materials necessary for ongoing projects and repairs.

Experience

  • Prior experience in handyman services, construction, or maintenance work is required.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is required.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
  • Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in their craftsmanship, and are eager to learn new skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have own tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
