We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused salesperson to join our team. The successful candidate should have previous experience in the sale of electrical goods, with a good working knowledge of electrical products and the ability to confidently advise customers on the right products for their needs.

Experience or good knowledge of the DIY and Hardware sector is also important.

About You

The successful candidate will:

· have previous retail experience particularly in electrical goods

· knowledge and experience of DIY, Hardware and related products

· be highly motivated, resourceful and work as part of the team to achieve the goals and targets of the business.

· have strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and managing information and data across computer systems

· display excellent communication and organisational skills whilst being results driven, optimistic and resilient.

About the Role

The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will be:

· to deliver high class service to our customers by being able to provide expert advice

· to work as part of the team to ensure the smooth running of the store whilst upholding the culture of the family-owned business.

· focus on sales to help achieve key metrics in the business.

· ordering from and ensuring timely delivery of products and materials from suppliers

· checking in deliveries from suppliers, checking stocks & processing supplier documents

· merchandising & stock control

About the Remuneration

This will be a full-time contract, working 5 days per week, in Portumna, Co Galway. The remuneration package will be based on experience and the targets that we feel can be set for the successful candidate.

About the Contract and Other Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent full-time contract working 5 days per week including some Saturday work. Other benefits include company pension, sick pay scheme, educational and training assistance and team discount.
