Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As the Head of Bank Partners Strategy and Performance, you’ll play a key role in leading and managing IAG’s important bank partnerships. This role involves strategic planning and execution, overseeing governance processes, supporting contract negotiation and management, and strong growth leadership to ensure consistent and quality outcomes for IAG, our partners, and customers.
You’ll identify strategic opportunities, drive business planning, and be comfortable leading contract discussions with key partners. Additionally, you’ll develop a high-performing business development team, enhance risk maturity, and ensure effective operations and governance support. Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen are essential for thriving in this fast-paced environment.
This is a permanent full-time role with flexible working arrangements open to candidates based in Auckland (Tāmaki Makaurau), Christchurch (Ōtautahi) and Wellington (Te Whanganui-a-Tara).
Ōu Pūkenga | About You
To excel in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- Substantial experience in the financial services, banking, or general insurance industry.
- Proven experience in senior-level stakeholder management and strategic partnership management with large corporate partnerships.
- Strong business and commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the New Zealand general insurance industry and financial services regulatory environment.
- Results-driven leadership in distribution or growth-related fields.
- Strategic focus with experience in delivering complex programmes aligned to strategic objectives.
- Highly skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Experience in material contract negotiations/management.
