Telenor Norway is one of the country’s leading players in telecommunications and technology, with a vast distribution network for selling products and services to consumers. The value stream is responsible for billions in revenue for Telenor, overseeing hundreds of stores, external and franchise partners, eCommerce operations, and the development and profitability of new handset concepts and insurance products. It also manages the procurement and logistics of all mobile hardware related to Telenor Norge.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to take on a key leadership position and be part of the leadership team within a department with outstanding product, retail and sales expertise, as well as contribute to shaping a newly established vertical value stream at Telenor Norge.
What will you work on?
  • Develop and implement the retail channel strategy aligned with Telenor's overall business goals.
  • Ensure high customer value through value-driven sales methodologies and insight-based decisions.
  • Drive profitable growth by optimizing sales processes and developing effective profitability models.
  • Play a key role in the leadership team, setting direction and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Lead negotiations and build strong partnerships with retailers and retail partners.
  • Develop work methodologies, competency programs, and recruitment processes to ensure high-quality, autonomous teams.
  • Lead change and drive process improvements through structured process management and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Who are we looking for?
  • A strategic, adaptable, and results-oriented leader with the ability to drive business transformation, develop high-performing teams, and build strong partnerships.
  • A commercial mindset with a proactive approach, strong drive, and the ability to stay focused and persistent in achieving goals.
  • Proven experience in sales management with a strong track record of results in retail.
  • Strategic and commercial expertise in retail channels, business development, and negotiations.
  • Experience in developing work methodologies, processes, and profitability models.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into commercial value.
  • Expertise in process management and experience with change leadership.
  • Strong negotiation skills, including legal and financial expertise in contract processes.
  • Skilled in change management, with a demonstrated ability to implement new processes.
  • Strong coaching abilities, able to inspire teams toward shared profitability goals.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, with excellent communication skills.
