Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership and Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain engineering strategies that align with company objectives, focusing on quality, cost-efficiency, and timely product delivery.
- Project and Product Management: Align engineering efforts with product and business goals through structured processes and strategic collaboration. Build a strong understanding of the business goals and contribute ideas that drive efficient, high-impact solutions across business, product, and technical priorities.
- Team Development and Management: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and quality in all engineering aspects. Mentor and build leaders who independently drive the vision and solve challenges, fostering accountability and shared objectives.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and direction on architectural decisions to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. Manage technical debt carefully to prioritize sustainable development and align with product goals.
- Process Improvement: Focus on building a culture that encourages continuous learning and efficiency by driving streamlined practices and workflows within engineering to support continuous improvement and effective resource utilization.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical progress, performance indicators, and constraints clearly and understandably to non-technical stakeholders, keeping executives informed of achievements and challenges.
- Innovation and R&D: Foster a culture of innovation by exploring new technologies and approaches with clearly defined goals and time-boxed experiments to measure their impact effectively.
- Risk Management and Security: Anticipate potential future risks and bottlenecks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Required Technological Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years of development experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with relevant technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python, C, React, Angular, AI/ML etc.).
- Deep knowledge of Cloud Computing and DevOps tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker etc.).
- Experience in architecture design and optimization (e.g., Microservices, Monolith, Serverless, etc.).
- Expertise in scalable database solutions and data management strategies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, GraphDB, Elasticsearch, Redis etc.).
- Experience with API and system integration (e.g., REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets etc.).
- Proven track record in CI/CD process implementation and automation practices.
- Knowledge and application of IT security guidelines and standards.
Required Leadership & Business Skills:
- Strong leadership experience in managing multiple engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Practical application of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Experience in budget planning and resource management.
- Ability to make strategic decisions in complex technological and business scenarios.
- Conversational level English proficiency, both spoken and written, with professional technical English skills.
