About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Financial Reporting is responsible for the production of the annual financial statements, monthly management reports liaising with the F,P& A team, tax compliance/governance, treasury and overseeing the technical support and control of the accounting system. This role will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in ELMO’s financial statements and disclosures. The Head of Financial Reporting will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing ELMO’s financial reporting strategy, maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders, and adhering to regulatory standards. Working closely with the entire Finance and Accounting staff, this role includes report production, excel spreadsheet analysis, project management and liaison with Executives.

Key Responsibilities:
The core responsibilities of the Head of Financial Reporting include:

Financial Reporting & Statutory Compliance:

• Lead the end-to-end preparation of accurate, timely financial statements (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory reports.
• Oversee tax compliance, governance, and audit relationships while providing the CFO and VP with data-driven insights and ad hoc reporting.

Treasury & Cash Management:

• Direct global cash flow, liquidity, and working capital strategies. This includes optimizing accounts payable/receivable, managing the treasury function, and implementing a global banking platform to ensure operational stability.

Strategic Financial Operations:

• Partner with senior leadership to develop financial strategies that support business growth. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and provide recommendations that guide high-level decision-making.

Risk Management & Internal Controls:

• Develop, monitor, and refine robust internal control frameworks and financial reporting systems. Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and standards to safeguard company assets and maintain reporting integrity.

Team Leadership & System Optimization:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In collaboration with IT, drive the enhancement and integration of financial systems to maintain industry best practices and operational accuracy.
