Position Title: Head of Human Resources (HR)

Location: Remote

Reports To: CEO / Managing Director / Founder

Seniority Level: Executive / Senior Leadership

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR to lead and manage all aspects of our Human Resources function. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing HR strategies aligned with our business goals, ensuring a high-performing, engaged, and resilient workforce.

The ideal candidate will be a strong, hands-on leader with proven experience managing HR teams and working within multinational, remote environments. You must be deeply knowledgeable across all HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR operations.

We operate as a Pte Ltd company based in Singapore, with a globally distributed team across multiple countries, requiring an understanding of different cultural and legal frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategy.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to drive organizational goals through people-centric initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the HR team and foster leadership development across the organization.

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning

  • Lead global recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Design workforce planning strategies and succession plans to support business growth.
  • Continuously improve the candidate and onboarding experience.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture across geographies.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, wellness activities, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and timely resolution.

Performance Management and Development

  • Lead the performance review and feedback processes across all departments.
  • Create talent development programs and leadership pipelines to nurture high-potential individuals.
  • Oversee internal mobility and career progression initiatives.

Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance

  • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits structures tailored for independent contractors.
  • Ensure full legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions regarding independent contractor relationships, data protection, labor regulations, and risk management.

Policy and Process Development

  • Develop, review, and refine HR policies, procedures, and documentation to support business needs.
  • Optimize HR systems, tools, and workflows for scalability, efficiency, and transparency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing HR teams.
  • Strong understanding of global employment law, contractor compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Proven success building or scaling HR operations in a remote, multinational team environment.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Proficient with modern HRIS tools and remote communication platforms.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, CIPD, SPHR are an advantage.
