Welcome to Strategy, Innovation and In-House consulting
You’ll be part of a bigger team of senior leaders who all report to our SVP- Head of Innovation, Strategy & In-House consulting. You’ll, together with your colleagues, lead innovation across the organisation and be responsible for ensuring a clear innovation strategy, a fine-tuned value driven innovation portfolio, a clear innovation process, and value creating delivery of new opportunities to our markets. You’ll also be responsible for building a strong performing team, ensuring strong stakeholder management, clear communication of innovation internally and externally, and fostering an innovation culture that focus on value creation. As a team, we are driven, curious and passionate about shaping a better world though green initiatives. We are divers and work across country boarders and we value people who come with different perspectives.
You’ll play an important role in:
- delivering a prioritised portfolio of innovation activities with clearly articulated high-value investments and clear decisions on which activities to prioritise or discontinue
- implementing a clear governance model for how we create value of innovation across Ørsted
- leading and creating a strong innovation management team and driving performance and a value creating innovation culture
- building strong collaboration across innovation units throughout the organisation, as well as reporting to our c-level and board of directors to ensure our innovation activities drives clear value to our business
- building up strong innovation capabilities both within the innovation team as well as in the wider organisation
- ensuring Ørsted is investing wisely into the right areas of innovation and deliver the innovation projects the creates the highest returns on investment over time.
To succeed in the role, you:
- hold a MBA, innovation management degree or similar, and have several years of innovation leadership experience leading teams who has demonstrated innovation success by bringing big impact projects and business to scale to market
- have expertise in energy industry or adjacent sector, in larger corporations is a plus, and possess strong senior management presence with years of experience in presenting to top management and board of directors
- possess strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional contexts and build followership
- have a strong innovation tool kit, not only for personal use, but also for the ability to upskill others, and can demonstrate commercial competencies and the ability to write and present business cases
- are a strategic thinker with strong implementation mindset, excellent stakeholder management, and external relationship-building capabilities
- have excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate complicated topics in an easily digestible manner paired with experience of working in a dynamic international environment.
