Tailor Your Resume for this Job

About Us:

At Imprint Engine, we're more than a company; we're a creative partner dedicated to elevating companies’ brands through engaging brand experiences (apparel, merch, print & more). Our commitment to innovation, quality, and speed sets us apart in the industry. We thrive on challenges, transforming "impossible" into "I'm possible" with every project we tackle. Our clients, ranging from local gems to global powerhouses, depend on us to elevate their brands with our unique blend of creativity, precision, and efficiency.

Position Overview:

The Head of IT & Information Security is a senior leadership role responsible for data security governance, IT infrastructure, cloud operations, and technology service delivery across Imprint Engine’s global operations (US, EMEA, APAC). This individual will serve as the accountable executive for the company’s information security program — including ISO 27001 ISMS management — and will own the IT infrastructure, tooling, and operational support landscape that underpins the business.

This role works as a peer alongside the Director of Enterprise Systems, who manages our ERP/WMS architecture, implementation, and business process improvement. The Head of IT & Information Security will be a key stakeholder in ERP/WMS initiatives — contributing to implementation planning, cross-departmental training, security requirements, and continuous improvement.

The two leaders will collaborate closely to ensure enterprise systems and IT infrastructure operate as a unified, secure, and scalable technology foundation.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT and security leader who has built and enforced enterprise data security programs, managed complex multi-region IT operations, and partnered effectively with enterprise systems teams. They blend deep technical fluency with strategic business acumen and thrive in a high-growth, builder-mentality environment.

What You'll Own & Drive:

ERP & WMS Stakeholder Partnership:

Note: ERP/WMS architecture, implementation, and process improvement are owned by the Director of Enterprise Systems. The Head of IT & Information Security serves as a key stakeholder and collaborative partner in the following areas:

  • Participate as a primary stakeholder in ERP/WMS implementation planning, providing input on security requirements, infrastructure dependencies, integration architecture, and change management.
  • Partner with the Director of Enterprise Systems and department leaders to drive cross-functional training and adoption of ERP/WMS capabilities.
  • Ensure all ERP/WMS environments meet data security, access control, and compliance requirements defined by the IT security governance program.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives by contributing IT operations perspective, performance monitoring data, and infrastructure capacity planning.
  • Co-own integration infrastructure between ERP/WMS and other enterprise platforms (CRM, e-commerce, custom applications), ensuring data consistency, uptime, and security.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning for ERP/WMS systems in partnership with the Director of Enterprise Systems.

Data Security Governance & Strategy:

  • Serve as the accountable executive for data security governance, risk management, and compliance across all regions (US, EMEA, APAC).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the enterprise data security strategy, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Own and manage the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) end-to-end — including scope definition, risk assessment methodology, Statement of Applicability (SoA), control implementation, internal audit program, and management review cycles.
  • Drive ISO 27001 certification readiness and maintain ongoing compliance: lead surveillance audits, recertification cycles, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement of ISMS controls.
  • Enforce ISMS policies and controls across all departments, ensuring consistent adherence through regular compliance monitoring, exception management, and cross-functional accountability mechanisms.
  • Own regulatory compliance posture including SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific requirements; lead audit preparation and remediation.
  • Establish and manage the incident response plan, business continuity / disaster recovery (BC/DR) programs, and security incident escalation procedures.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments, vulnerability management, penetration testing programs, and third-party security reviews.
  • Implement and govern identity and access management (IAM), data classification, encryption standards, and endpoint protection across the enterprise.
  • Lead security awareness training and foster a culture of security-first thinking across the organization.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage SIEM, EDR, DLP, and other security tooling.

IT Infrastructure & Operations:

  • Oversee all IT infrastructure including cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure), networking, endpoint management, and SaaS application portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain SLAs for system uptime, performance, and support response across all business-critical platforms.
  • Manage IT service management (ITSM) processes including incident, problem, change, and asset management.
  • Own IT budgeting, procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure observability and monitoring across production systems with appropriate alerting and escalation.

Strategic Leadership & Team Development:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team across systems administration, data security, IT operations, and helpdesk/support functions.
  • Partner with the CEO, Director of Enterprise Systems, engineering leadership, and operations to align IT strategy with business growth objectives and platform roadmap.
  • Maintain a strong peer relationship with the Director of Enterprise Systems — proactively aligning on shared priorities, resolving cross-functional dependencies, and presenting a unified technology front to the business.
  • Translate business requirements into technology architecture decisions; participate in build-vs-buy evaluations and technology selection.
  • Develop and present IT roadmaps, investment cases, and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Sales to ensure technology enables (not gates) business velocity.
  • Champion continuous improvement, automation, and process optimization across all IT functions.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in enterprise environments with significant exposure to ERP and WMS platforms (as owner, stakeholder, or infrastructure partner).
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to ERP implementation or migration cycles in a stakeholder capacity — providing security, infrastructure, and integration support.
  • 5+ years of hands-on responsibility for data security governance, compliance programs, and risk management.
  • Direct experience managing an ISO 27001 ISMS program — must have led or co-led at least one full certification cycle and managed ongoing surveillance/recertification audits and enforcement.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise WMS platforms in distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environments; direct ownership not required but must understand operational dependencies.
  • Experience managing IT operations across multiple geographies — international experience required.
  • 3+ years managing and developing IT teams of 5+ direct and indirect reports.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency is required, including the ability to effectively leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, synthesize information, and support data-informed decision-making in day-to-day work.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Working fluency in enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Sage Intacct, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics) — sufficient to partner effectively on security, infrastructure, and integration decisions without owning the platform directly.
  • Familiarity with WMS platforms and warehouse technology (barcode systems, pick/pack/ship workflows, 3PL integrations) from an infrastructure and security perspective.
  • Deep operational knowledge of ISO 27001 ISMS lifecycle: risk treatment plans, Annex A controls mapping, internal audit execution, nonconformity management, and management review reporting. Fluency in complementary frameworks (NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls) required.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) including networking, IAM, and security configurations.
  • Working knowledge of API integration patterns, middleware platforms, and data pipeline architecture.
  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (ITIL) and tools (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or equivalent).

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Industry certifications preferred: ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, CISSP, CISM, CISA, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.

Nice-to-Have Extras:

  • Experience in promotional products, branded merchandise, print-on-demand, or e-commerce fulfillment industries.
  • Exposure to Acumatica ERP specifically, including customization, API integrations, and multi-entity configurations.
  • Experience with GCP-native services (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL / AlloyDB).
  • Background in supporting or partnering with product engineering teams on platform architecture decisions.
  • Experience operating in a high-growth, scaling environment where systems must evolve rapidly.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling (Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Grafana) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Working knowledge of SOX compliance requirements as they relate to IT general controls (ITGCs).

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary benchmarked to the Irish market (based on experience)
  • Flexible/hybrid working arrangements.
  • The opportunity to shape the technical direction of a fast-growing global branded merchandise company.
  • Collaboration with a global team across the US, Ireland, India, and APAC.
