We’re now seeking a Head of Learning & Organisational Development to lead the design and delivery of our national learning and leadership strategy. Reporting to the General Manager, People & Talent Capability, this role will shape the growth and performance of our 3,000-strong workforce and ensure our people are ready to meet the needs of today — and the opportunities of tomorrow.

This role could be based in our Sydney (Parramatta) office or Brisbane.

About The Role

You’ll oversee a dynamic portfolio of learning and OD initiatives that span both operational and leadership excellence, including:

The continued evolution of our flagship EDGE Leadership Program.
Development and rollout of the Chef Apprenticeship Program, Aged Care Learning Series, and capability programs for remote and retail operations.
Enterprise-wide leadership, capability, and cultural development initiatives aligned to Cater Care’s values of Care, Pride, and Community.
Strategic oversight of organisational development frameworks, career pathways, and people change management for significant business initiatives.
Leadership of inclusion and belonging programs — including oversight of the Cater Care Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and First Nations outcomes.
Direct facilitation of leadership and capability sessions to engage, inspire, and build internal capability.
Playing a pivotal role is leading learning initiatives, both in concept and delivery, analysing data to track progress of the projects and sharing insights for improvements.

Skills and Experiences:
About You

You’re a seasoned Learning & OD professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll bring:

Experience leading Learning & OD in a complex, multi-site or service-based organisation.
Proven expertise in designing and facilitating enterprise and operational learning programs.
Strong capability in organisational development, culture, and change leadership.
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Passion for developing people, embedding values, and shaping inclusive cultures.
Comfortable with extensive travel as you lead the L&OD function across a multi-site organisation.
You will be extremely resilient and possess a deep understanding of organizational development with a previous track record of driving impactful change.
