About Mobility

In BU Mobility, we are responsible for offering the best insurance solutions together with our partners, maintaining and strengthening relations with the car industry, development of branding strategies, testing and launching new service models such as UBI concepts, offering related services (e.g. roadside assistance) etc. Our ambition is to reach as many customers as possible with If’s insurance solutions, and at the same time support the building of an efficient and profitable business.

Sampo, the owner of If, recently acquired TopDanmark and by merging these two companies we will form a huge and strong player in the Danish insurance market and also strengthen our Nordic footprint. There are large potential synergies within the Mobility area. By combining our competencies, tools, volumes, and relations we will be able to make one plus one become three.

About the role

Main responsibilities of the role:
  • Leading the Danish Mobility unit, forming one strong and business-oriented team with the right skill set and culture to win in this market.
  • Cooperation with the car industry (car dealers, agents, financing companies, leasing companies, importers, etc.) in Denmark regarding insurance sales, lead generation, account management and agreements.
  • Explore new opportunities and services connected to the Mobility business.
  • Negotiate and optimize new and existing agreements and operations with new and existing partners.
  • Cooperation with Nordic colleagues regarding skill transfer and agreements covering more than Denmark.
  • During the coming years take responsibility for forming a joint team, and joint strategy and action plan in the merged unit between TopDanmark and If, involving Product & Price, Aftermarket/Claims, Customer Center, Digital and other relevant units.
  • Most important KPIs: net sales, conversion/retention, profitability of the business, customer/partner satisfaction, eNPS and synergy value creation.
About the team

There are currently around 10 people working with account management, sales and business development within If and TopDanmark. The structure of the joint unit is still to be decided. The combined unit will hold cooperation agreements with large and small car dealer groups, OEMs and financing companies. A significant share of If’s insurance sales is being done through these partnerships. In cooperation with Viking we also offer customer service, sales support and roadside assistance to partners and customers. Every day we put our hearts into making If the preferred partner by always being one step ahead of competition.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role, you need to be an experienced leader being able to build, manage and inspire your team, and the same time have a strong dialogue with peers both within and outside Denmark. You also need to have experience within sales management, knowing how to set targets and reach them, how to establish sales tools and use them and how to coach a team to have a solid sales culture.

You need to know how to work with setting a strategy, managing ambiguous and sometimes conflicting targets and handling complex tasks. You also need to be a skilled negotiator, knowing how to handle accounts and agreements. Being able to build business through partnerships across the value chains is a key task, especially in the light of the customer journey becoming more digital.

You also have:
  • Experience from management consulting is a preferred merit.
  • We believe you need to have a candidate degree or higher within economy, business, engineering or similar to take on this role.
  • You need to be skilled communicator, both in written and spoken language, mastering both Danish and English.
  • You need the ability to establish relations and trust, to inspire and engage, both your own team and others.

As Head of Mobility Denmark, you are reporting to Head of Mobility Nordic (Andreas Hörberg), and you are part of the Mobility Nordic management team.
