We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Head of Ocean Bulk. In this role, you will develop and execute growth strategies for Ocean Freight (OFR) Bulk, manage both operational and commercial relationships with customers, and drive continuous improvement efforts. You will also oversee the transition of Bulk customers to DHL Global Forwarding, ensuring a seamless experience.
IN THIS JOB YOU WILL:
- Drive positive impact on P&L and growth of the OFR Bulk product.
- Lead the Operational team to ensure smooth customer transitions to DHL.
- Ensure Operations meets customer service standards and expectations.
- Engage in major business opportunities regularly, including expanding Share of Wallet opportunities.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are well documented.
- Address and follow up on customer escalations.
- Support the transition of dry FCL into DHL to maintain business levels.
- Facilitate the transition of US business into the US market.
YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in OFR Bulk.
- Strong knowledge of customer service processes and systems.
- Ability to identify and meet customer needs professionally.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
