YOUR TEAM
You’ll act as the Brand Director’s strategic sparring partner on all PEOPLE and performance matters – translating SELECTED’s strategic direction into concrete people initiatives and ensuring strong alignment with the HR strategy set by BESTSELLER PEOPLE.
You will report directly to the Brand Director of SELECTED and be a full member of the executive management team, as well as part of the central PEOPLE Business Partner team across brands and functions in Denmark.
Day to day, you’ll lead the PEOPLE function at SELECTED together with a dedicated PEOPLE Specialist who supports you in running our HR wheel and delivering on our shared agenda.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you’ll own the PEOPLE agenda for SELECTED and help shape how we lead, collaborate and develop as an organisation. You’ll translate our brand direction into impactful people initiatives aligned with BESTSELLER PEOPLE. A key part of your role will be to strengthen our performance culture, ensuring that the structures, tools and follow-up supporting high performance are in place, applied consistently and evolve as the business moves forward.
You’ll take the lead on:
- Driving the strategic PEOPLE agenda across SELECTED and ensuring strong alignment with the HR strategy anchored in BESTSELLER PEOPLE.
- Partnering closely with the Brand Director and executive team on organisational development, leadership capability, team performance, and the frameworks that support a strong performance culture across all levels.
- Heading the PEOPLE function at SELECTED, with a focus on coaching and developing the executive management team and 2nd-level managers.
- Supporting cultural cohesion across our international setup and ensuring our ways of working reflect our brand values and culture.
- Collaborating with BESTSELLER PEOPLE on recruitment, legal topics, compensation, benefits and broader HR processes.
- Overseeing key HR operations together with your PEOPLE Specialist, ensuring smooth execution of our annual HR wheel.

You’re a self-driven and experienced HR professional who brings clarity, confidence and positive energy into your work. You communicate with impact, inspire and influence colleagues across organisational levels, and navigate a multicultural environment with ease. Leaders trust you as a sparring partner because you challenge with care, listen with intent and keep a clear view of what the organisation needs to succeed. You earn respect through your professionalism, strong business understanding and your ability to support people, team and organisational development. You also bring:
- Extensive experience within HR business partnering in an international organisation, with a strong focus on strategic HR management.
- A proven track record of advising and collaborating with senior leadership teams on organisational and people topics.
- Solid leadership experience, enabling you to set direction, support others in their development and lead your own team.
- Strong communication skills in English and Danish; additional European languages such as German, French or Spanish are a plus.
