We're looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to lead this transformation and play a critical role in shaping our national sourcing strategy.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a key executive leadership role responsible for developing and executing the procurement strategy across all areas of spend, including proteins, packaging, consumables, freight, utilities, and indirect categories.

You'll lead a national procurement function, build strategic supplier partnerships, drive commercial outcomes, and create a best-practice procurement framework that supports our operational excellence and growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

As our Head of Procurement, you will:

• Develop and implement a national procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Transform procurement from a transactional purchasing model into a strategic commercial function.
• Lead category management across proteins, packaging, dry goods, freight, consumables and indirect spend.
• Negotiate high-value supply agreements that deliver measurable cost savings and improved margins.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers across Australia and internationally.
• Lead supplier performance reviews, contract management, tender processes and risk management initiatives.
• Partner closely with Production, Sales, Finance, Planning and Logistics to ensure continuity of supply and operational efficiency.
• Drive procurement reporting, forecasting, cost modelling and data-driven decision making.
• Improve procurement systems, governance and ERP processes.
• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing national procurement team.

About You

You are a commercially astute procurement leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution.

You will bring:

• 7-10+ years' experience in senior procurement, sourcing or commercial supply chain leadership.
• Strong experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, meat/protein, agriculture or another perishable goods industry.
• A proven track record negotiating multi-million-dollar supplier agreements.
• Exceptional commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical capability, including cost modelling, market analysis and procurement reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as CSB, SAP, Dynamics, Pronto or similar.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead transformational change across multiple sites.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related discipline (preferred).
