- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team across multiple verticals (Higher Education, English Language Teaching, Library/Research).
- Lead the regional and country-level sales strategy and execution to exceed annual revenue and growth targets.
- Drive the adoption of digital solutions while maintaining strong performance in the print business.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, customer success, and revenue operations teams to align go-to-market efforts and enhance customer experience.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key institutional customers across all vertical markets, including universities, language schools, research libraries and local / national government agencies.
- Provide regular sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting to the Senior Director, Sales – EMEA.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, pricing strategies, and ethical standards.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, advanced degree in Business, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of sales or commercial experience in education publishing, EdTech or related industries.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience, consistently leading and motivating sales teams to deliver results. Second-line sales management (managing Sales Managers) experience preferred.
- Experience selling digital products and leading digital transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of the Higher Education, English Language Teaching, and/or library research markets preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Data-driven with strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
- Ability to travel extensively within the region as needed, with occasional travel within the wider EMEA & International region to attend Cengage sales conferences and managers meetings etc.
