This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration for this role starts from $149,396 p.a. depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
The purpose of this position is to ensure delivery of a safe drinking water supply to our region and for wastewater treatment activities in the South Wairarapa to provide safe water and environmental excellence to our communities. Overall, the role provides a relentless focus and accountability for ensuring effective fluoridation as mandated to enable the benefits to oral health for our communities.
This means ensuring that the treatment and supply of drinking water and wastewater is carried out efficiently, respecting our guardianship responsibilities for this natural resource and our environment, alongside guaranteeing full compliance with our legal and regulatory responsibilities.
With strong relationship building and people leadership, you'll drive for continual improvement and foster an organisational culture based on collaboration, innovation, learning and high performance.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- A relevant engineering, treatment or environmental qualification, preferably Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
- 10 years plus experience in process engineering, water treatment or similar
- Ideally 7-10 years management experience
- In-depth expertise in water and wastewater treatment
- Sound knowledge of the three waters sector, treatment maintenance operations, applicable legislation, and water standards
- Full driver’s licence for a car
