Health And Human Resources Program Manager 1 - Bureau For Behavioral Health - Kanawha Co.

Nature of Work

Under general supervision, the Program Manager 1 will provide advance level of oversight, administrative and professional work in relation to grants and programs within the Bureau for Behavioral Health. This position requires a higher level of knowledge related to objectives of the program area, procedure, policies, and guidelines related to substance use prevention and educational standards and policies. The individual must have the ability to follow the strategic prevention framework for federal grant and data collection. This position supervises Health and Human Resources Specialist Seniors in prevention and expanding school mental health. This position supervises internal staff and ensures compliance of external grantees to promote positive program outcomes. The position also serves as a resource and provides technical assistance and training statewide to grantees and community organizations. Performs research and analysis of legislation work activities or other issues to develop policies, standards and procedures. Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.

Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master's degree.

Experience: Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
Substitution: Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.
