Kantrax Contractors Ltd. is a growing and safety-focused organization committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Health & Safety Administrator to support our safety programs and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Position Summary
The Health & Safety Administrator will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of company safety policies and procedures. This role involves administrative coordination, documentation management, and assisting with audits, training, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update health & safety records, policies, and procedures
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and documentation
- Coordinate safety meetings, training sessions, and orientations
- Track employee certifications, training records, and compliance requirements
- Support internal and external safety audits and inspections
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal safety regulations
- Prepare safety reports, statistics, and documentation for management
- Assist in hazard assessments and implementation of corrective actions
- Promote a strong safety culture across all departments
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a health & safety or administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety regulations and standards
- Strong organizational and document management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Assets
- Health & Safety certification (e.g., NCSO, HSA, or equivalent)
- Experience in road construction and heavy equipment environments
- Familiarity with safety management systems and reporting tools
