Responsibilities include:

  • Management & development of client safety management systems in multiple industries.
  • Provide Tatonga clients with solutions to management of their health and safety programs.
  • Perform on-site safety services for clients.
  • Develop sales leads for our corporate services.
  • Perform several types of safety audits (COR, SMS, ISO) as certification allows.
  • Use safety management field experience to contribute to the development of creative solutions to improve and simplify workplace safety management for our clients.
  • Support the achievement of organizational business goals, create and maintain a positive relationship with clients and fellow Tatonga colleagues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with workplace safety/risk management in multiple industries including construction.
  • A post-secondary education in Safety/Risk Management, with minimum OHS Certificate.
  • CRSP, CHSMSA and CRBOH designations preferred.
  • Experience conducting health and safety audits.
  • Ability to interpret and understand health and safety legislation.
  • Strong technical acumen in the area of occupational health, safety and risk management
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills and fluent with Microsoft products (Office 365, Word, Excel). Knowledge of Zoho considered an asset.
  • Ability to cope under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, organize and maintain attention to detail and manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Willingness to develop, study and acquire certifications in health and safety management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with an emphasis on presentation and influential leadership skills.
  • Alberta Class 5 Drivers Licence and vehicle with ability to travel throughout Western Canada

Compensation:

Tatonga provides our team members with competitive base salaries, health benefits, and paid vacation. The total compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 annually based upon individual skills, experience and industry knowledge.
