Job title: Healthcare Assistant
Employer: Codladh Sámh Teoranta
Location: Several locations in Cork City and County
Annual Salary: 32,691.00
Weekly Hours: 39 hours a week
Purpose: Care for the elderly and people with disabilities in Cork City and county.
Duties & Tasks:
- Promote and encourage independence for all clients.
- Activities of daily living.
- Assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene.
- Catheter and Stoma Care support.
- Supporting feeding and meal preparation.
- Prompting medication.
- Light housework appropriate to the care plan including commode hygiene and laundry.
- Companionship and trips out including hospital appointments and shopping.
- Alzheimer and Dementia care activities for clients.
- Step-down care.
- End-of-life care.
- Primary Care Team support.
Requirement:
- QQI Level 5 or equivalent Nursing Certificate
- Full Irish Driving Licence
- Applicants must have a good command of the English language
Pay: Up to €32,691.00 per year
