Health Care Assistant (Hca) Program Nursing Director/ Hca Programming

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join us as a Nursing Director and HCA Curriculum Developer. The ideal candidate will bring practical nursing expertise and a proven track record in curriculum design and development. This role includes serving as the liaison with the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) and BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.

Key Responsibilities

HCA Curriculum Development:

  • Design, develop, and update curriculum materials for HCA programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Incorporate modern healthcare practices, technology, and emerging trends into course materials.

Instructional Support:

  • Provide guidance and support to faculty members delivering HCA curriculum, including training and resources to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and refine teaching methods and materials to improve student learning and engagement.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure curriculum content meets provincial and national standards, healthcare regulations, and institutional policies.
  • Continuously assess program outcomes and make improvements to ensure accreditation compliance and optimize student success rates.
  • Develop and implement tools to measure student competencies and overall program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design, particularly in healthcare assistance or related programs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Burnaby, BC V5H 4H2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Work Location: In person
