About the Role
Are you an experienced Health Care Assistant with exceptional communication skills? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our exceptional Orthopaedics team based at Tauranga hospital.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of our highly motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic nursing team. Our team is dedicated to delivering comprehensive quality care to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible support throughout their healthcare journey.
We are offering one permanent part-time position working 0.8FTE (32 hours per week).
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Orthopaedic Ward provides care to 46 beds who cater to both elective and acute care orthopaedic patients, including several medical patients. This diverse patient population will provide you with a rewarding and challenging environment to apply your skills and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
About you
Successful candidates will have current nursing experience, particularly valuing those with a background in acute orthopaedic or rehabilitation nursing, along with experience in medical settings. We prioritise individuals who can work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
