Role Overview:
As a Healthcare Assistant with Elm Homecare, you’ll provide personal, emotional, and practical support to clients in their own homes, promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist with daily routines such as dressing, washing, toileting, mobility, and feeding.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship, encourage social interaction, and support emotional well-being.
- Domestic Support: Help with light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Record care provided and report changes in health or behaviour to supervisors.
- Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and infection control policies, ensuring high standards of care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferred: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or relevant modules (Care Skills & Care of the Older Person).
- Experience: Previous care experience required; knowledge of safeguarding and safety protocols is desirable.
- Skills: Good communication, reliability, empathy, teamwork, and a genuine interest in caring for others.
Benefits:
