Family Planning Australia (FPA) is the leading provider of reproductive and sexual health services in NSW. We are committed to excellence in meeting the reproductive and sexual health needs of the community. As an independent not-for-profit organisation, we offer expert clinical care, information and advice for everybody in every family as well as education and training and evidence-based research to support doctors, nurses, and other professionals, and lead international development projects to promote the rights of marginalised people in developing countries.
We are currently recruiting for a Health Promotion Team Leader
- Base Location: Newington NSW (will be required to travel across other FPA locations as needed)
- Permanent full time
- Reproductive and sexual health focused scope of practice

Position Overview
The Health Promotion Team Leader is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing team to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based health promotion initiatives that address the reproductive and sexual health of priority populations. The role requires exceptional people management skills, a proactive leadership approach, and the ability to foster a positive, supportive, and results-driven team environment.
Base Full Time Salary: $101,637 - $107,024 (pending experience)

Skills and Experiences:
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in public health, health promotion, r a related field with at least 5 years' experience working in health, education and community services or similar field
- Demonstrated experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of health promotion, health education or community development projects
- Demonstrated experience in managing, coaching, and developing teams to achieve goals
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, proactive , and flexible team culture
- Previous experience in working with at least one of Family Planning Australia's priority population groups (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disability and young people)
- Deep understanding of current reproductive and sexual health issues as experienced by priority populations
- Advanced interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts across a variety of audiences
- High level ability to manage competing demands and adapt effectively to change
- High level of digital literacy, including proficiency in using collaboration tools, understanding of social media engagement, and ability to locate and evaluate relevant online information
- Must have full permanent working rights in Australia
- Experience with change management and team development initiatives
- Current NSW driver's license
- A Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role
