Health & Safety Officer

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Health & Safety Officer to support our company’s commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and quality.

Responsibilities:

Continuously develop the EHS Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001 certifications.

Collaborate with operational teams to implement and improve H&S, environmental, and quality processes.

Ensure staff and subcontractors effectively use project management tools (e.g., Procore & Hammertech) to maintain compliance with H&S standards.

Monitor compliance with European & Irish H&S, environmental, and quality legislation, minimizing hazards and preventing accidents.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of H&S activities, including audits, inspections, and incidents.

Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.

Promote worker, subcontractor, and visitor safety by ensuring appropriate PPE use, clear signage, and safety monitoring.

Coordinate and deliver staff training sessions, Toolbox Talks, and H&S workshops.

Provide expert advice on H&S management and compliance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

A Health & Safety qualification (degree or certificate), or currently undertaking one.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Proficiency in IT tools, including MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Forms (training provided for Procore & Hammertech).

Previous construction experience is desirable but not essential.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with H&S Managers and site teams across multiple locations.

Pay: €39,045.60-€65,792.87 per year

Work Location: In person
