Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Technician Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can be proactive and willing to take action to solve problems and has a genuine interest in contributing to the company's success. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment with a strong focus on Hydrovac, combos, and straight vacs. . Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply in person.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative and service maintenance on trucks & trailers.
- Monitors the safety and efficiency of equipment.
- Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts, components or systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Performs physically demanding duties such as: heavy lifting, working underneath equipment, working in cramped or awkward positions, climbing on/off equipment, getting in/out of units, working long hours if required.
- Maintains a customer focused approach.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair or industrial equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with electrical systems and schematics related to machinery repair
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in mechanics or electrical work preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
