Job Summary:
Finn Construction Ltd. is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for civil construction projects across Saskatchewan. Work is primarily operation of excavators, dozers, and graders. But we also require scraper operators, skid steer operators and 1A candidates. The role includes occasional physical labour; we’re looking for operators who are comfortable pitching in when needed.
This is a position suited to people who take pride in their work, work well independently, and are prepared for long hours during the busy season. We value skilled operators who take pride in quality work, efficiency, and doing the job right the first time.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate a range of heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Work on road construction, culvert installations, slope remediation, drainage & water infrastructure projects
- Follow supervisor direction, plans, and project specs
- Assist with general labour tasks when required
- Work out of town for stretches, with long daily hours during construction season
What We’re Looking For:
- Multiple years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to work safely and independently without constant oversight
- Physically capable of manual labour and willing to assist with labour tasks as needed
- Strong equipment care habits and reliability
- Valid driver’s licence (Class 1A is a strong asset)
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel and stay out of town
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and ability to work as part of a crew
- Experience with GPS machine control is an asset.
Pay & Benefits
- $28–$40/hr depending on experience
- Lots of overtime in season (high earning potential)
- Paid vacation and stat holidays
- Meals & lodging covered for out-of-town work
- Extended health plan available after probation
- Seasonal average 2,000+ hours (May–Dec)
- Winter work may be available depending on project load
