Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality results while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position may include some labor work as needed.
This position is full time, seasonally. We work a lot of hours in the summer and not as much in the winter.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, scrapers, and other machinery to perform grading, digging, lifting, and material handling tasks
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and preparing the work area for subsequent phases
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to deadlines
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and operational logs
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues with machinery and perform routine maintenance
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
