Onyx Development Group is seeking skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operators with hands-on experience in pre-grading and rough grading for residential and commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to join a growing construction company focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:

• Operate skid steers, safely and effectively

• Perform pre-grade and rough grade work to plan specifications
• Ensure slopes, elevations, and drainage are accurate before final grade

• Read and interpret site plans and grade stakes

• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

• Work alongside other crew members and site supervisors

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in grading or site prep

• Ability to operate skid steers, track loaders confidently

• Strong understanding of grade elevations, slope, and compaction

• Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)

• CSTS and First Aid tickets are an asset
