Overview
We are looking for a reliable and driven Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will assist with mechanical demolitions, both clean demos and containing hazardous materials such as asbestos. In this role, you will also support abatement projects involving asbestos, mold, lead, and other hazardous materials as needed.
Responsibilities will include:
- Strong understanding of the equipment you operate to perform thorough inspections and minor repairs, ensure proper performance, and make any adjustments as needed.
- Driving and controlling heavy equipment to complete clean and hazardous demolitions on site
- Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected waste or scraps
- Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it
- Tracking scheduled maintenance of equipment and notifying their supervisor if maintenance is past due
- Ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods
- Following all company and regulatory safety procedures, including appropriate PPE
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and project areas.
- Assisting with site preparation, cleanup, and compliant disposal of hazardous materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
Preferred (Training Provided)
- Class 3 License
- 2 Years Experience of Heavy Equipment Operation
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and safety procedures.
Required
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, standing for long periods, confined spaces).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
