Heavy Equipment Technician
Full-Time | Shop & Service Truck Based

We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our growing, Aboriginal-owned company. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling both on-highway and off-highway equipment in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

This position includes a combination of shop-based work and service truck field work, providing a diverse range of tasks and opportunities. You will work on everything from on-highway trucks and off-highway equipment to railway repair units and other specialized machinery. A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean driving record are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on customer equipment
• Complete detailed repair documentation, including quotes and repair estimates
• Conduct annual inspections as required
• Service a wide variety of units in both the shop and the field
• Operate and drive a service truck to customer locations and job sites
• Provide on-site maintenance at construction or project sites
• Maintain accurate driver logbooks and service records

Job Requirements

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (on-highway, off-highway, or both) or 3rd and 4th year apprentice
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Personal tools sufficient to perform most repair tasks
• CVIP licence or the ability to obtain one (asset)
• Own tooling up to 3/4"

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$52.00 per hour

Experience:

• heavy equipment tech: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• cvip licence (preferred)
