Heavy Lifting Blender Operator (Midnights)

$23.75 per hour + midnight shift premium at $2.00 per hour

Essential Duties:

• Fill blenders with raw materials.
• Must check all ingredients against a work sheet to make sure he has everything on hand.
• Make sure blenders are always clean and must know all the different allergens we have in this plant.
• Discharge blenders into the required package as required by the worksheet.
• Check labels placed on the finished product against the work sheet to make sure that is what is required.
• Confirm signature on the work sheet to prove all that is required is done.
• Sign off labels and cure sheet to confirm what you used.
• Make sure all finished products are neatly stacked on a required skid and only the number required per skid.
• Follows all safe operating instructions and work procedures, ensuring personal and coworker safety.
• Detect machine malfunctions and report to supervisor.
• Complete all documentation very well.
• Report any shortage of missing products to the supervisor.
• Understand and comply with all safety requirements and comply with company policies.

Non-Essential Duties:

1. Wash drums and skids.

2. Clean the blending room on weekends.

3. Assist in batching room sanitation.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school, or equivalent education.

2. Knowledge about manufacturing food is preferred.

3. Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing and have good mathematical skills.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to loud environment, airborne particles with strong odors associated with spicy food ingredients and hot, wet and humid conditions.
• Walking and standing on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day. Climbing steps, ladders and working on elevated surfaces.
• Lifting on a repetitive basis materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to fast-paced production lines working 8- to 12-hour shifts.

Pay: From $23.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
