Heavy Tow Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate tow trucks safely and efficiently. As a Heavy Tow Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers in need of roadside assistance, ensuring their safety and satisfaction during stressful situations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tow trucks to transport vehicles to designated locations.
  • Respond promptly to calls for roadside assistance, including vehicle breakdowns and accidents.
  • Perform basic mechanical assessments on vehicles to determine the best towing method.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and addressing their concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and vehicle conditions.
  • Ensure that all towing equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at job sites.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license mandatory; must have a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with automotive repair is highly desirable.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.79-$31.94 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

  • towing: 1 year (preferred)
