Shop Helper/Mechanic

As a member of our team, you will work under the supervision of an Installer or Service Technician to install/ assemble Compressed Air equipment and accessories. Work with mechanics and follow instructions on assembly, installation and repairing air compressors and similar equipment & accessories.

Responsibilities as a Mechanic Helper

• General maintenance (oil change, grease equipment, filters change, etc.);
• Minor mechanical inspections and repairs;
• Fill out reports, work orders;
• Assist in the general yard maintenance and mechanical workshop.
• Perform minor field fabrication
• Ability to work with power tools is also essential.
• Team work is a priority and installer helpers must be willing to work with and assist co-workers as needed, in addition to working overtime, night, and weekend hours
• Assist with parts counter and inventory.
• Cleaning organizing shop, parts room and yard.

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalency
• English proficiency
• Mechanically inclined and familiar with shop tools and previous mechanical shop experience.
• Motivated, Punctual, and being able to complete necessary paper work.
• Follow shop procedures and safety rules.
• Basic knowledge of computer programs such as Excel.
• Other Assets. Operate Forklift and or certification Automotive, Trailer or Equipment Trade school apprenticeship Small engine repair experience.
• Valid Full G Driver's license with clean abstract
• Good physical endurance
• Ability to work indoor and outdoor conditions
• Growth potential, willing to train
