Owens Quarry Products Mullingar is now recruiting for a HGV Mechanic to join our team

Contract: Permanent, full-time basis

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of the company’s HGV & LCV vehicles.

· Attend breakdowns as required

· To undertake all work in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Statement, Policies and Procedures.

· To report any non-conformances, machine/equipment breakages and health and safety issues to your supervisor.

· Respond to daily checks as reported to drivers

· Maintain maintenance records

· To manage your timekeeping and attendance in accordance with the Company’s policies.

· Ensure all work meets established Quality standards, reporting any defects, issues, or non-conformances immediately.

· Maintain high levels of housekeeping to ensure work areas remain clean, organised, and hazard-free.

· Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure tasks are completed safely, consistently, and to the required quality standards.

· Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on site.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience

· Heavy Vehicle Mechanics qualification

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role

· Experience with computer diagnostics (Jaltest)

· Ability to follow instructions and schedules

· Ability to manage efficiently and work under own supervision.

· Enthusiastic and responsive approach.

· Full, clean driver’s licence.

· Valid Visa to work in the EU.
