We are seeking 3 experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to service, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications, Irish road safety regulations, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in HGVs, trailers, and associated equipment.

- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections in accordance with RSA (Road Safety Authority) guidelines.

- Repair and replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.

- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults accurately.

- Prepare vehicles for CVRT (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test) and ensure compliance with Irish road safety legislation.

- Maintain accurate service and repair records.

- Work with manufacturers’ manuals and technical data.

- Follow company health, safety, and environmental policies.

- Assist in breakdown recovery and roadside repairs when required.

- Keep workshop tools and equipment in safe working order.

Skills & Requirements

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with heavy goods vehicles.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

- Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and software.

- Understanding of CVRT and Irish transport safety regulations.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Remuneration for this role is €34,000.00 per year based on 39 hours per week.
