Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV (Category C) driver to join our team. Prior experience operating a HIAB is preferred. We are happy to provide HIAB training for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of wastewater treatment systems to and from sites, using a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). The role is vital in supporting our operational teams by ensuring timely and safe transport of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a HIAB-equipped lorry to load, transport, and unload wastewater treatment systems, septic tanks, and rainwater harvesting systems
- The fitting and sealing off risers if needed on top of the tanks.
- The fitting and connection of pipes if needed between interconnecting tanks.
- Deliver to construction and residential sites across Ireland.
- Ensure loads are secured safely and comply with transport regulations.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the lorry.
- Work closely with despatch and production teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups according to schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
- Follow all company policies and legal requirements related to driving, loading, and site safety.
- Perform minor maintenance or troubleshooting on the HIAB when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service on-site, acting as a representative of the company.
Requirements:
- A full clean driving license class C
- Digital tachograph card up to date
- Candidate must be Driver CPC compliant
- Experience in operating a HIAB lorry (grab or crane arm) is preferred
- Good understanding of load security and manual handling.
- Strong English language skills are essential
