Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as necessary to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
• Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Familiarity with freight handling procedures is a plus.
• Forklift certification is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform minor automotive repairs.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
