Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Charge Entry Specialist with strong knowledge of end-to-end medical billing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate charge entry, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines, and supporting the revenue cycle process from charge capture to claim submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter patient charges, CPT/HCPCS codes, ICD-10 diagnoses, and modifiers into the billing system
• Review and verify documentation for completeness and accuracy before charge entry
• Ensure compliance with payer-specific billing guidelines and regulations
• Coordinate with coding, AR, and front-end teams to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks (TAT & accuracy)
• Identify and report billing issues or trends impacting revenue
• Assist in audits and quality checks as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical billing end-to-end (Charge Entry to Payment Posting/AR)
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
• Experience working with EHR/Practice Management systems
• Good understanding of US healthcare billing guidelines and payer requirements
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
