We are in need of a Herd Manager who has at least 3 years NZ dairy experience or has at least level 4 NZ qualification. Applicants should state their entitlement to work in NZ.
Job Description:
Milk production – feeding. Assist with the feeding of stock as directed by farm manager or according to the requirements outlined in the Farm Systems Manual.
Milk production – milk harvesting. Responsible for dairy management as directed by the farm manager or according to the requirements outlined in the Farm Systems
Manual
Milk production – milk quality: Responsible for contributing to achieving continuous grade free seasons.
Stock management – animal health and welfare. Assisting with the management of the animals on farm as directed by farm manager or according to the requirement
outlined in the Farm Systems Manual
Stock management – seasonal management requirements. Understand seasonal stock management requirements and assist with implementing these as directed by
farm manager or outlined in the Farm Systems Manual
Stock management – other stock requirements - Understand the requirements of managing the different classes of stock and assist with all stock management as
directed by farm manager or outlined in the Farm Systems Manual,
Stock management – recording. Responsible for maintaining accurate information in the Yellow Notebook and ensuring it up to date at all times.
Environmental management. Assist with all environmental compliance as directed by farm manager or outlined in the Farm Systems Manual
Team responsibilities. Contribute to an effective team working environment
Health and safety. Comply with all health and safety requirements as directed by farm manager or outlined in the Health and Safety Manual
Maintain a tidy workplace. Look after the farm equipment and environment as directed by the farm manager or outlined in the Farm Systems Manual.

Applicant must know how to drive a manual motorcycle, quadbike and preferably able to drive a tractor . Must pass a pre-employment drug test and have a clean police record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week
