About the Role

As a Home Care Worker at Ozmate Solutions Trust, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients’ daily living needs and creating a safe, supportive home environment. This temporary 3-month role is perfect for compassionate, skilled professionals looking to make a positive difference.

Key Responsibilities

1. Personal Care Assistance:

Provide essential support with activities of daily living, including but not limited to:

Ø Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

Ø Helping with mobility and transferring (e.g., from bed to chair).

Ø Monitoring and encouraging proper nutrition and hydration.

2. Domestic Support:

Maintain a safe and comfortable living environment by:

Ø Performing light household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing.

Ø Preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.

Ø Assisting with grocery shopping and household organization.

3. Health Monitoring:

Ensure clients' well-being by:

Ø Observing and reporting any changes in physical or mental health to the Care Coordinator.

Ø Administering prescribed medications (if certified) or supporting medication adherence.

Ø Assisting with simple therapeutic exercises or wellness routines as guided by healthcare professionals.

4. Companionship and Emotional Support:

Foster a supportive and engaging environment by:

Ø Building meaningful relationships to alleviate loneliness and enhance emotional well-being.

Ø Engaging clients in hobbies, recreational activities, or light exercise.

Ø Supporting social connections by assisting with phone calls or facilitating visits with loved ones.

5. Transportation and Errands (if applicable):

Ø Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, or other necessary trips.

Ø Run errands on behalf of clients, such as picking up prescriptions or groceries.

6. Safety and Compliance:

Ø Adhere to all company policies, health, and safety regulations.

Ø Ensure all care provided respects the dignity, privacy, and cultural preferences of clients.

Ø Conduct regular checks to maintain a hazard-free home environment (e.g., minimizing fall risks).

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

l Previous experience in aged care, nursing, or home care settings.

l A valid nursing or care certification/license.

l Compassion, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.

l A proactive and reliable attitude, with the ability to work independently.

l Current first aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).

l Qualification in nursing, Pharmacology, aged care, or a related field.

Pay: Up to $38.23 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
