Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide quality in-home care to clients with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient health, and support overall well-being in a respectful and professional manner. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with their daily routines and medical needs. Experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is highly valued. Candidates should possess strong caregiving skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and the ability to work independently while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and observe patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
• Administer medications and document medication administration accurately in medical records or electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems)
• Perform vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature checks
• Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice care, or caring for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts and catheters safely and correctly
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning to maintain a safe environment
• Document patient care activities thoroughly while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
• Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals and assist with documentation using EMR systems

Experience

• Prior experience working as a Home Health Aide (HHA), nursing assistant, or in a similar caregiving role preferred
• Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring long-term or hospice care highly desirable
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation procedures is advantageous
• Knowledge of infection control practices including CPR certification preferred but not required
• Experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, catheter care, and use of medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts is beneficial
• Background working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
