Ten Full Time Horticultural Operatives required at John B Dockrell UL, Monroe, Screen, Enniscorthy, Wexford, Y21 CF82.

To carry out practical activities and assist in the production of horticultural crops.

• Execute fertilisation,
• grow plants,
• harvest crop,
• maintain, repair and use horticultural equipment,
• maintain storage facilities,
• monitor fields,
• nurse plants,
• prepare planting area for planting,
• propagate plants,
• prune plants,
• store crops, products and associated works.

Relevant experience as a horticultural/farm worker required.

To be able to operate assorted modern farm machinery in the cultivating, sowing, irrigating, and harvesting of the crops would be an advantage.

This is a full-time contract of 2 years with an annual remuneration of €30,000 for a 39-hour week.

Accommodation will be provided at an affordable rate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €14.79 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Enniscorthy, County Wexford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Horticulture: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)
