Job Overview:
We are seeking porters to work across Gloucestershire and Cheltenham starting at the
You will work across shifts including 6am-2pm, 8am-4pm and 2pm-10pm.
A night shift is available on 10pm-6am across a 7 day rota if you prefer nights.
You will need to undergo an enhanced DBS for this role.
As a Hospital Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital by providing essential support services. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients and staff in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Duties:
- Transporting patients to and from various hospital departments with care and compassion.
- Moving medical equipment, supplies, and waste between different areas of the hospital.
- Responding promptly to requests for assistance from medical staff and patients.
- Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe environment for all.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting and pushing.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to hospital operations although training is provided.
